Port of Savannah · GPA
Garden City Terminal operates 24 hours Mon–Fri with limited Saturday gate hours. Export cutoff windows are published 72 hours before vessel arrival. On-dock rail connectivity is coordinated through CSX and Norfolk Southern.
LFD · Demurrage · Per-Diem
Demurrage accrues when an import container stays on-terminal past its Last Free Day (LFD). Per-diem accrues when a chassis is held beyond the carrier's free time. Southern Haulers monitors both clocks hourly and pre-schedules pulls before fees trigger — included in the all-in rate.
Container Status · ETAs
Use your container number (4-letter SCAC + 6-7 digits) or Bill of Lading to pull status on GPA CargoFlow. Southern Haulers customers also receive GPS-linked status updates — arrived at port, loaded, in transit, delivered — directly from our drivers.
BOL · Delivery Order · CBP Release
For import drayage you need: (1) Bill of Lading number from the ocean carrier, (2) CBP customs release (ISF + entry release from your customs broker), (3) delivery order or "freight release" from the terminal. Export moves require the EEI / AES filing number before gate-in. Your customs broker handles the CBP side; we need confirmation of release before we pull.
FMCSA · MC Authority · Insurance
Southern Haulers operates under active FMCSA motor carrier authority. You can verify our MC number, DOT number, safety rating, and insurance certificates on the FMCSA Safety Measurement System (SMS). We carry $1M liability and $100K cargo insurance. Certificates of Insurance are available on request.
